Know your markup on every coin in stock.

Pricing analysis adds up the cost and value of the coins in stock and shows your overall markup. It lists the coins with the highest and lowest markup, and suggests a price for each coin that has a cost and no value.

The Pricing analysis page in CoinManagerPro. The overall markup is 31.4% over 1,186 coins with a cost and a value. 23 coins have a cost only and 9 have neither. Lists show the coins with the highest markup, such as a 1909-S VDB Lincoln cent at 92%, and the lowest, such as a 2021 American Silver Eagle at minus 6%.

What pricing analysis shows

Markup is value minus cost, divided by cost.

Overall markup

Total value over total cost of the coins with both, so one cheap coin with a large markup does not pull the figure up.

Highest and lowest markup

The 10 coins with the highest markup and the 10 with the lowest, each linked to its coin page.

Suggested prices

For coins with a cost and no value, a price of cost plus your overall markup. Select Set to save it on the coin.

What still needs a price

Counts of coins with a cost and a value, a cost only, and neither.

AI valuation coverage

Valuation runs

How to use pricing analysis

01

Enter cost and value

Add the cost when you buy a coin and its value when you price it.

02

Open Pricing analysis

Find it under Insights. The figures update each time you open the page.

03

Check the outliers

Start with the lowest markup. A coin under cost or with a thin markup is a candidate to reprice.

04

Price the rest

Set the suggested prices, or value the coins with AI and apply the estimates.

Questions about pricing analysis

How is the overall markup worked out?

CoinManagerPro adds up the value and the cost of every coin in stock that has both. The markup is total value minus total cost, divided by total cost.

Where does the suggested price come from?

It is the coin's cost plus your overall markup. The list shows up to 20 coins with a cost and no value, most costly first.

Can my staff see my markup?

Only members with the "View cost" permission. Other members see how many coins have a cost and a value, and no figures that show cost.

Does it use AI?

The markup and suggested prices do not. The page also counts AI-valued coins and lists your valuation runs, which use credits when you start them.
