Import your coin inventory from a spreadsheet.

Upload a CSV export from your spreadsheet or your current software. CoinManagerPro matches the columns to coin fields, shows a preview of duplicates and errors, and adds the coins when you say so.

Imports cost no credits. Save an Excel file as CSV before you upload it.

A coin import in CoinManagerPro. The columns of a CSV file match coin fields by name: Item # to SKU, Coin to Title, Grader to Grading service, Cert # to Certificate number, Our Cost to Cost. Notes is left out. The dealer clicks Read the file, and the preview shows 1,186 coins to add, 18 rows to leave out, and 12 duplicates to skip.

What coin import does

Import is for moving your whole stock into CoinManagerPro, or adding a large purchase from a list.

CSV and TSV files up to 100 MB

Upload a file with a header row. Commas, tabs, semicolons, and pipes all work as separators. Save an Excel file as CSV first.

Columns matched by name

Common column names match coin fields for you, such as Stock #, Cert #, Grader, TPG, Our Cost, and Vendor. Change any match, or leave a column out.

Every coin field

Import the title, SKU, grade, service, cert number, year, mint mark, denomination, type, metal, variety, value, cost, location, marketplace categories, and more.

Mapping templates

Save a column mapping as a template. The next file from the same software uses it, so you match the columns once.

Duplicate checks

The preview finds rows whose cert number or SKU is on a coin you have or on an earlier row. Skip the duplicates, or import them with new SKUs.

Locations

Rows can carry a warehouse, zone, safe, shelf, and box. For a location name you do not have, create it, use the default location, or leave those rows out.

Cost stays private

Cost columns import only for members with the View cost permission.

Undo an import

Undo removes the coins an import added. It keeps a coin that was sold, invoiced, put on a memo or listing, or changed after the import, and tells you why.

How coin import works

01

Upload the file

Export your stock as CSV from your spreadsheet or software, then choose the file in Import coins.

02

Match the columns

Check the field for each column against its first values. Map one column to Title, then pick the default location.

03

Check the preview

See the coins to add, the rows with errors, and the duplicates. Choose what to do with duplicates and unknown locations, and download the error report.

04

Add the coins

The import runs in the background. You can close the page. If it stops, retry it from where it stopped, or undo it.

Questions about coin import

Can I import an Excel file?

Save the sheet as CSV in Excel, then upload the CSV. CoinManagerPro reads CSV and TSV files with a header row, up to 100 MB.

I use other coin software. Can I move my inventory?

Yes. Export your inventory from that software as CSV. CoinManagerPro matches common column names, and you map the rest by hand. Save the mapping as a template for the next export.

What happens to rows with problems?

The preview lists rows with errors and leaves them out. Download the error report, fix the rows, and import them in a new file.

What if I import the same file twice?

The preview tells you that you imported the file before. Rows with a cert number or SKU you already have show as duplicates, and you can skip them.

Can I undo an import?

Yes. Undo removes the coins the import added. Coins with a sale, an invoice, a memo, a listing, or a custody record stay, and so do coins a member changed after the import. You can download the list of kept coins.

Does importing cost credits?

No. Imports are free.
