Add a coin

Go to Coins. There are two ways to add a coin:

  • "Add coin" opens a form in five steps.
  • "Quick add" opens a short form on one page.

Add coin

The form has these steps: "Basic information", "Attributes", "Cost and value", "Photos" and "Review".

  1. Click "Add coin".
  2. In "Basic information", fill in the coin. You can use one of these:
    • Drop a photo of the coin or slab on "Identify the coin from a photo". The app reads the label and fills in the fields.
    • In "Certificate", select the grading service, enter the certificate number, and click "Look up".
    • Click "Scan" to read the slab barcode with the camera.
  3. Select the "Category". Enter a "Title". The title is necessary.
  4. Click "Next" to go through "Attributes" and "Cost and value". In "Attributes", the "Coin type" is the type or series of the coin, for example Morgan Dollar. In "Cost and value", enter the "Cost ($)" and the "Value per coin ($)". You can also enter the "Date acquired" and "Acquired from".
  5. In "Photos", add up to 12 photos. Use JPEG, PNG or WebP, 15 MB or smaller. The same limit applies to every photo upload in CoinManagerPro.
  6. Click "Review". Check the details. Click "Edit" on a section to change it.
  7. Click "Add coin".

The app opens the page of the new coin.

Quick add

  1. Click "Quick add".
  2. Add photos. The first photo fills in the coin.
  3. Enter the certificate, or click "Look up" or "Scan".
  4. Enter the "Title", "Cost ($)", "Value per coin ($)", "Quantity" and "Grade".
  5. To add the "Category", "SKU", "Year", "Coin type", "Description" and other fields, click "More details".
  6. Click "Add coin".

When you leave "SKU" empty, the app makes a SKU.

"Description" is the text of the coin that goes on its listings. Notes for your team go in the "Notes" section on the page of the coin. See Categories and notes.

Credits

When the photo has a slab barcode, the app reads the barcode and looks up the certificate. When there is no barcode, the AI reads the coin. Each AI read costs 5 credits. When you do not have enough credits, the app asks you to buy credits. You can also fill in the details by hand.

For a raw coin, leave the certificate empty.

When the value looks wrong

The app checks the value per coin against the quantity. When the value per coin looks like the total of a lot, the app shows "Check the value per coin" before it saves the coin. The value is for one coin. To save the value as it is, click "Keep this value".
